Want to make money on YouTube with faceless videos — even if you’re just starting out?
Today, I’m going to break down my entire A to Z workflow for creating the History for Sleep channel for a US audience, using AI tools + smart automation.
Let’s dive in 👇
🌙 1. Why “History for Sleep” Is the Perfect Niche
When ChatGPT reached version 5, it became smart enough to write full one-hour scripts that feel like bedtime stories — relaxing, educational, and surprisingly binge-worthy.
This niche is a hidden gem: you can take a topic that sounds boring and turn it into a soothing, intelligent, and viral experience for viewers in the U.S. and Europe.
⚙️ 2. Ben’s Full Workflow: From Idea to Upload
Step 1. Generate Video Ideas with ChatGPT
Prompt:
“Give me 10 English video titles in the style of Boring History For Sleep, similar to What Did Ancient China Concubines Actually Do All Day or Why It Sucked to Be an Aztec Sacrifice Victim, but about other civilizations.”
Pick one title that feels fresh and has storytelling potential.
Step 2. Write a Compelling Introduction
Prompt:
“Write a 5-chapter historical story — part storytelling, part educational — with a soft, exploratory tone. Create an introduction with a friendly welcome, a promise to help viewers relax, a short summary, and a call to subscribe.”
This intro sets the emotional tone and boosts watch time right from the first 30 seconds.
Step 3. Write Each Chapter in Depth
Prompt:
“Write Chapter 1 – Part 1 with detailed storytelling and historical explanations. Keep a humorous, slightly sarcastic tone, and make sure to explain any complex terms.”
Then add:
“Translate into natural American English for U.S. viewers.”
Use Google Docs, break each part into under 10,000 characters.
(Shortcut: Ctrl + Shift + C for word/character count.)
Step 4. Create a Relaxing Voiceover
Voiceovers make up 50% of your video’s success.
Ben uses CapCut Text-to-Speech — it’s free, unlimited, and high-quality.
Pick the “Male Commentator” voice: it’s warm, calm, and perfect for bedtime storytelling.
Step 5. Add Visuals that Keep Viewers Watching
Forget stock footage — use AI-generated static images that change every few seconds.
Then open Whisk Lab, input your prompt — each tab generates 6 images.
Open 10 tabs and you’ll have ~60 images within minutes.
A 1-hour video usually needs around 100 images.
Step 6. Edit Like a Pro (CapCut Workflow)
- Import the voiceover and images.
 - Add ambient background sound like “sound of burning wood 1 hour”.
 - Lower the background volume so it doesn’t overpower narration.
 - Effects: Evaporation + Fireplace Light.
 - Timing: first image 5s, next 4 images 3s each, the rest 10s.

Keep transitions slow and cozy — the goal is calm engagement.
Step 7. Design Scroll-Stopping Thumbnails
Prompt:
“Create a cartoon-style caricature thumbnail for the video titled ‘…’, with a white background and the text Boring History For Sleep on the left.”
Use Whisk Lab to auto-generate.
Simple + consistent branding = instant recognizability.
Step 8. Optimize for SEO & Discovery
Prompt for title:
“Suggest 5 SEO-friendly titles using the keywords history boring sleep in a natural tone.”
Prompt for description:
“Write a YouTube description in American English, repeating history boring sleep several times, include hashtags, no emojis.”
Tag ideas:
history for sleep, boring history for sleep, bedtime story, stories for sleep
Step 9. Build Your Channel Brand
Prompt for channel name:
“Give me 10 English YouTube channel names (2–3 words) for a boring history storytelling channel designed to help people sleep.”
Prompt for channel description:
“Write a natural English channel bio that repeats the keywords history boring story sleep four times.”
Category: Entertainment
Audience: Not for kids
🕒 3. Best Time to Upload for U.S. Viewers
The golden hours for American watch time are:
🇺🇸 6–9 PM ET → 🇻🇳 6–9 AM (next day)
🇺🇸 6–9 PM PT → 🇻🇳 9 AM–12 PM (same day)
Upload in those windows for maximum CTR & retention.
🔥 Final Thoughts
You don’t need to show your face or speak English fluently to build a profitable YouTube channel.
With smart use of AI tools, storytelling structure, and timing, you can turn “boring history” into a steady passive income source.
If you want to start your own “History for Sleep” channel, follow this exact system — and let the algorithm work while you sleep. 😴💸
